The Awesome Beauty of Liturgical Dance

One of the things we like, here at the Compound, is Liturgical Dance. And while we're at it, why not accompany the Dance with a patriarchy-busting version of the Lord's Prayer. Like this one:

O Divine Womb,
birthing forth the river of blessing which runs through all,
Soften the ground of our being,
and hallow in us a space for the planting of thy presence.

In our depths,
sow thy seed with its greening-power
that we might be midwives to thy Reign.

Then, let each of our actions
bear fruit in accordance with thy desire.

Impart to us the wisdom to bring forth the gifts of the earth
and share them daily according to the needs of each being,

And restore that which has been usurped
by injustice to its rightful owners,
as we restore to others that which is not our own.

Do not let us be seduced
by that which would divert us from our purpose,
but make us sensitive to the moment at hand.

For from thy fertile soil is born the creativity,
the life-energy, and the dance,
from birthing to birthing. Ameyn.

How very, very beautiful. And awesome.

Ameyn.

All they need to complete the ritual are black candles, a pentagram, a goat and to have one of the crones sacrificing chickens to Satan and spreading blood all over everyone...followed by an orgy, of course.

This latest performance is not about any concept of equality or even really feminism as originally understood. The description which actually covers these antics is a psychological one - narcissism.

The word Baphomet springs to mind.

If you look closely, you might see a pentagram on the floor of Liverpool Cathedral.

Thou shalt not suffer a witch...

Paraphrasing Jesus a little, render unto Christ what is Christ's, and render unto Buddha what is Buddha's. (I've been around several Buddhist services, and that what it strikes me as. )

Is nausea a common side-effect of this or do I need to call my GP? Simple bed rest and lots of fluids? Or do I need prescriptions narcotics to survive? Please advise.

I saw that big pentagram, too, Rev. but I didn't want to say anything...

I was looking around for goats in that photo but didn't see those, though.

I think I just threw up in my mouth.

They would seem to embrace the satanic. Now that's shocking for a church headed by the Queen of England (one of the holiest people with the holiest families on the planet)...

Fredd, You have to pay extra for the goats and go into a special room.

It does look a bit Buddhist, Mattexian. I think it's the banners.

Bed rest might do it, Jenny. Then again -- perhaps something stronger's needed.

Sorry, Infidel.

Lady "Di" was especially holy, LL. Ask the Fayeds.

The Pewster's right, Fredd. The goats are in the "paying room."
