Ice Age Apocalypse

So far it's been another day of climate disruption here in Texas, with freezing wind and driving snow.

Unfazed by the icy apocalypse, I drove down Highway 22 to do some trading in Whitney. Snow was drifting in places on the small country road, and it's not too often that you see that in Texas.

Blue Eschaton doesn't seem particularly worried about the imminent destruction of the world by snow and ice. He may not be aware of research showing that the earth could have entered an intergalactic cloud, with untold consequences for the heliosphere, the sun itself, and life on earth in its present form.

Extremely Sensible Ears

In the meanwhile, tiny crystals of ice are falling from the sky.

Keep safe,

LSP

Oh my, that's quite an article you linked to. I think I was happier when I was as oblivious as Blue Apocalypse.

On the other hand, perhaps the prediction of "we could face an increase in cosmic rays..." simply means more sunshine for Texas? (This is what I will tell myself, while ignoring other potentially catastrophic ramifications.)

I trust you're stocking the missions with adequate provisions and armament?

Very much so -- just bought some milk and a value pack of bullets for the carbine... who knows when that particular combo will come in handy.

Brrrr.

As soon as the apocalypse starts to unfold, look for a wicked Raptor showing up with additional arms, ammo and ...a gunslinger.

I just hope that Blue Terminator won't kill me in my sleep (for food) just for shits and giggles when I'm racked out in the barracks.

Looking forward (jealously) to the Raptor. More arms and ammo? Always needed.

I'll have words with Blue Terminator...

With additional arms and buckaroo boots... Calling shotgun in the Raptor, or is this a private Order of Warriors for God.

All aboard!

Always good to stock up on ammo, tho it seems like some may only be available in Spam flavor, as the smaller quantities dry up. I've tried to buy when I can, once the supplies started flowing again.

I'm glad I live south of the new snow belt!

We still can't get .22 at the local Walmart... or any rimfire caliber.

.223/5.56 has been plentiful -- I think that's about to change. Again.

I live south of the new snow belt, too, but can't comprehend the point of the deathly miserable cold without something pretty to look at. This is so horrible!

B, I doubt there will be a fort better stocked for the apocalypse. We all know where to go. See you soon! :)

Don't pick The Alamo for the bug-out location. It was tried once and didn't work out as well as hoped...I realize that it's close to Jenny and the unarmed Austin Hippies, but there is an uncomfortable precedent.

True. Plus, I've seen the place and it's tiny. They managed to preserve the tiny room and bed where Bowie died. Someone other than me can sleep there...

Maybe Bowie's room could hold all of the hedgehogs to keep them safe?

Freezing rain now, Jenny. Not pleasant.
